The Southern Maryland Regional Internship Application

BECA, The Patuxent Partnership and St. Mary's County Public Schools have created the Southern Maryland Regional Internship Application. The application is for high school students who were juniors or seniors in the 2012-13 school year, or current college students.

The application is online and is presented as a Survey Monkey survey. The deadline for completing the application is May 22, 2013. You may download a fillable pdf version of the survey to guide you in collecting information. We suggest that you complete the short answer questions in the pdf, then paste those answers into the survey. Here is a link to the pdf version of this file. Please note that this is for your use only. You may not mail or email the pdf to BECA.

Once you begin the Survey Monkey version, you cannot save it or return to it at a later time. Follow this link only when you are ready to complete it. You will need to know your social security numbers, cumulative GPA and last semester's GPA, number of AP courses taken, and some other basic information.

Again, you must complete your application by May 22, 2013. At that point, the applications will be distributed to employers who have internships to offer. We will use the key words you choose to match your application to available internships. The employers will contact selected students directly to set up interviews. We have requested that employers contact selected students by June 1, 2013.

As this is the first year for this application, the actual number of internships to be offered is not known. If you have questions, please write to us at smcbeca@gmail.com, or call 240-257-BECA.
